Biggest Disappointment of 2006:
Flow no more…

WE GOT LOVE FOR FLOW
I’m still feeling residual anger about this one. One of the biggest disappointments for me of 2006 was…Mark and Jemeni’s departure from not only their radio show “The Morning Rush,” but from Flow 93.5 FM.

I am a HUGE fan of theirs and every morning I would look forward to hearing their commentary on all things related to pop culture. And I can’t forget listening to their spot-on song parodies (“Shave Me,” the parody of Ashanti’s “Baby,” is classic!). They always delivered funny and irreverent material, and it was unquestionably the best start to my day. No disrespect to the new on-air personalities, but it’s all about Mark and Jem.

Due to “changes” at the station, they were given the boot and their replacements took their place in late August. Since Mark and Jem were so abruptly taken off the air, their audience was curious as to what happened. It wasn’t stated on air why they left, and all we could do was hope for their safe return. Websites and blogs devoted to bringing them back were popping up left and right. I even signed a petition to get them back on air. Yes, I can be a little overzealous at times, but they are worth it!

Once word got out that all of the T. Dot was missing them, an e-mail was sent out stating what had happened (psst…basically Mark and Jemeni knew for a while that they were going to leave and they were looking forward to pursuing other goals).

I did get my Jem fix by watching her flex her acting muscles in the play I Am Not A Dinner Mint: the crap that women swallow to stay in a relationship, and I caught Mark Strong on the television program "NBA XL" a few times. Man, it felt good to hear his sexy voice again.

Anyways, to all of the Flow listeners that mourn the loss of the original Morning Rush crew, I feel ya! I still got love for you Mark and Jem! ¤ Michelle
