Sneakers are very stylish since last season. Look for one resembling bowling ball shoes at Payless Shoe Source. They come in many colours (black, blue, red, tan) at very affordable prices. So pick up a few pairs to match your ensembles.

I really like those long scarves that I see everyone tying around their necks. But I can't really think of something to wear it with, and I don't want to buy a new wardrobe for one accessory. What do think?

I'm attending a friend's communion and I have no idea of what to wear to the church. I don't own any neutral colours - most of my clothes are dark, tight, and low-cut. How do I dress appropriately for such an occasion?

I don't see a problem with wearing black but I'm not sure the church would approve of tight and low-cut clothing. Try covering up with a ¾ length blazer or sweater.

Go for a wallet with colour, not the boring black again and again. Tans and reds are great choices, or look for one with patterned fabric at Guess.

I was planning to go jewelry shopping this weekend. I basically know what I want, but I wasn't sure what kind of earrings I should get. I wanted something funky but not too out there. What do you suggest?

I would get some chandelier-type earrings that all the celebrities are wearing. If that's not quite your style, stick to the hoop earrings. Of course, diamond studs are always nice.

Now that the temperatures don't seem to be getting any higher, I'm running out of options for winter clothes. I own a lot of sweaters and turtlenecks, but I wanted to have a different look. How do I layer my clothes so that I can stay warm and fashionable?

Layering is definitely a good idea to stay warm. Start with a lacey camisole/tank top and add a blazer to battle the cold. For a more casual look, put together graphic tees and zip-up hoodies.

On a whim, I went out and bought a goose-down red vest. I usually wear this over a sweater and jeans, but I wanted to try something new. What do you suggest, and what colours can I pair this with?
