Dear Shopaholic:
Spicing up your wardrobe, sunglasses for ovals, hooker dilemma...
Dear Shopaholic,
GOT A QUESTION?
I want to spice up my very boring wardrobe, but don't have much money to do it. What do you suggest?
K.M.An easy way to spice it up is by using the accessories "of the moment." You'll look trendy without spending loads of cash. For fall 2002, wide belts that hang around your hips are a great addition to your wardrobe. Go for one that is just plain, embroidered, or fringed. Newsboy caps are still hot for the season, so put this one on your shopping list too.
Dear Shopaholic,
I'm having trouble finding a pair of sunglasses that suit me well. I've been told I have an oval face. What kind should I try?
P.A.I'm not an expert on sunglasses, but you're in luck since I too have an oval face. With an oval shaped face, you can get away with any frame. My suggestion though would be a big Jackie O frame or an aviator look for the season. Check out Aldo Accessories, NineWest, and Chanel.
Dear Shopaholic,
I bought a bikini, but oops, I forgot to buy a bottom. Actually, they didn't have my size. The bikini is purple and pink. Swimming half-naked is not my thing. What should I wear for the bottom?
C.H.Bikini Village would be a good stop. They sell a wide selection of mix-and-match swimwear. It'll be tough finding one with the exact same print as your top, so look for a solid colour in purple of pink for the bottom.
Dear Shopaholic,
I bought a pair of very cool knee-high boots, but I don't want to look like a hooker. What should I pair them with?
H.B.You can look sexy in knee-high boots without looking like a prostitute by balancing out what you wear. Pair a sexy top with a knee length skirt, or a mini skirt with a more conservative top. You'll look sexy…and smart.
Dear Shopaholic,
What shoes would look best with a pair of capris?
Fashion VictimThis depends on how you want to style your capris. For a casual look, wear your capris with platforms sandals or even thong flip-flops. For a sexy look, wear your capris with strappy sandals. ¤ Phan
