Vintage Vibe:
An outfit for under $13...you must be mad!

I am starting to believe that my calling in life is to shop professionally at secondhand stores. It is definitely becoming a not-so-secret pleasure of mine.

For this month, I have created an eclectic outfit that costs just $13.00 (bracelet, earrings and shoes not included). Check out my low budget finds.

Just minutes after a job interview, I wandered into a nearby vintage shop and I decided to run in for a quick second. I didn't want to stay too long because Christine was waiting for me to go to lunch (needless to say, I was ½ hour late. Sorry girl! [Eh, I'm always late too - Chris])

I surveyed the store and I did not see anything that was remotely funky. On my way out I saw a cute lil' top that was calling out my name. I picked it up and headed straight to the cash area.

It is a nice, white, summer tank that has brown knitted straps, which can be paired with a skirt or pair of pants.

Which brings me to my second find and the second part of my outfit.

At the beginning of summer, I decided that I was going to create my own patchwork denim skirt. I bought 2 pairs of old jeans to make the ripped style skirt. I split the jeans and pinned the contrasting material together. However, I have yet to sew them together. Okay, I'm lazy!!! (I promise that I will finish it by the end of summer. Don't laugh, I will!)

So when I spotted a perfectly good denim skirt at Value Village, I knew it was destined to be mine. It is slightly faded (just the way I like it) and has a long piece of folded fabric on the front of the skirt (different, but it gives the skirt personality).

It is extremely comfortable and looks cool enough to wear with any casual top.

Last but not least, I found this coolass purse. How lucky am I?? It has a 70's look that always seems to be in, and it has plenty of room to hold all of my essentials (the zipper at the front opens and reveals a big pocket - perfect for change, keys etc.).

Pretty good finds for thirteen bucks, eh? If you want to dress for less and look GOOD, visit your local vintage shops.

Happy hunting!!! ¤ Michelle
