Beauty 411:
Cake Beauty...

I'm always on the lookout for the next hot product to try. And luckily in time for this issue, I was given the chance to try some yummy-smelling bath and beauty products from the Toronto-based company, Cake Beauty.

Take a glimpse at a few tempting treats.

Cake Crème de la crème bath and shower froth
Feed your sugar-starved skin with these deliciously rich, creamy and addictive suds. Reveal your sweeter side. Immerse yourself in a buttery bliss of pure Virgin Oil de Coco Crème, scents of decadent vanilla and sugary Canadian Maple. Irresistible, eh? Now that’s some seriously sweet sudsing.

Damn, this product smells gooood! It smells like a mixture of Baileys liqueur spiked with a vanilla bean. If this were served in a martini glass, I wouldn't hesitate to drink it!

Crème de la crème bath and shower froth has a nice consistency and foams up quickly. I also love the fact that they call this product a "bath and shower froth," instead of branding it with the boring label of "shower gel."

Its delicious scent will leave a slight fragrance on your body long after you step out of the shower. To intensify the mouth-watering smell, you can use Dolce body crème (below) to add yet another level to this delicate scent.

Cake Dolce super-lux body crème
Treat your body to this luxurious blend made with nourishing shea butter, decadent mango butter, pure vanilla and real milk. Experience simple excess. Fabulously rich rosehip seed oil and marshmallow infusion comfort the skin and promote cell regeneration. Indulge in the ultimate skin saving goodness. Bellisimo! This is our primo recommendation!

Doesn't Cake Beauty have the best names for their products?

Dolce body crème is a very thick, sweet-smelling lotion that felt great on my body. It's loaded with tons of ingredients that are beneficial to your skin - Rosehip Seed oil, Mango Butter, Jojoba oil, whole milk and Shea Butter - so don't be shy, slather this all over!

I found the colour of the body crème to be similar to that of cake batter (hmm, very clever!!) Hey, don't be alarmed, you will not smell like a stale prepackaged pound cake. To me, this luxurious body crème smelled like the fluffy frosting on cupcakes. Either that, or I was extremely hungry when I wrote this.

The next time that you crave an indulgent treat, skip the cheesecake (well, a little piece won't hurt) and visit www.cakebeauty.com for an unlimited list of items to spoil yourself. ¤ Michelle
