Just as I was about to hit the mall to buy a tube of my fave pale pink lip gloss, I got an gigantic Christmas present from Cargo Cosmetics. Having the self control of a precocious five-year-old, I of course couldn’t possibly wait for the big day to open my gift, so I ripped off the wrapping with haste.The package included makeup essentials that every girl needs to glam it up for the holidays – everything from shimmery eye shadow to lustrous lip gloss. I was in heaven!
Not one to keep the latest must-haves to myself, I have listed a few of the products that I know you will like. Check ‘em out!
Vienna Eye Shadow Duo Limited Edition
Just knowing that this is a limited edition eye shadow makes it even more special! The eye shadow duo contains two colours – a light pink colour with gold glimmer and a dark grey hue with silver shimmer. Oohhh, sounds glamorous, no? You can wear either colour on its own, or wear them together for a classic smoky eye look.
I completely love the versatility of the shimmery light pink eye shadow. Actually, I like anything that has glitter in it. It makes your skin look radiant and fresh. Okay, getting back to the pink eye shadow, I prefer wearing it as a base and pairing it with other colours to create a multitude of looks. In fact, a couple of my favourite eye shadows to pair it with are from another Cargo eye shadow collection – Nantucket. The dark blue eye shadow gives me a mysterious look and the bronze colour gives the appearance of wide bright eyes.
South Beach Lip Gloss Quad
As much as I don’t particularly like Lil Mama’s ode to lip gloss (but I will sing her song at karaoke!), I would rap, sing and dance about South Beach Lip Gloss. The colour combo is genius – champagne, rose bronze, sheer pink shimmer and rose nude shimmer. The hues compliment each other so well that it makes this lip gloss quad extremely wearable.
I wear the champagne lip gloss to work for a casual look and wear the bronzy colour when I want a rich glossy effect. I’ve worn them so often for the past month that I can actually see the bottom of the canister already! Looks like I need to stock up on this item.
Well, my former prized lip gloss has been replaced. It’s all about South Beach Lip gloss, baby!
