Get ready to play footsies…

Totally Nutty Shea Nut Foot Scrub
No word of a lie, my feet are pretty mugly. They’re not completely mashed up like I have an extra toe or something; it’s just that they aren’t the daintiest of feet.

Instead of concealing my feet in clown shoes, I decided to do something about it.

The first step was to buy a good foot scrub that would work on my jacked up feet. There are a million scrubs on the market and I had no clue which one was the most effective. I went to a couple of beauty stores, but I really didn’t want to spend 40 bucks on foot scrub. I ended up going to a local drugstore on my lunch hour and perusing the foot care aisle. All of the scrubs contained pumice stone - which is a key ingredient in getting your feet to look and feel better. I took a wild guess and I chose Totally Nutty Shea Nut Foot Scrub.

The deciding vote for this scrub was that it contained Shea Butter - which not only softens and nourishes skin; it also has the most sweet-smelling scent.

Once I got home, I kicked off my shoes and I gently massaged the scrub on my feet. I made sure to spend extra time on my heels. The scrub felt good on my feet, but it was the smell that drew me in. It has such a sweet coconuty smell that I imagined that I was lying on a beach sipping pina coladas, instead of scraping the dead skin off my feet.

After I worked the Shea Nut foot scrub in every nook and cranny, I rinsed it off in warm water and toweled my feet dry (the key to having nice smelling feet is to make sure that you dry your feet completely so that bacteria will not form).

My feet felt softer and smoother. But the true test was if the silkiness would last.

After using this product for just under a week, I was able to see a difference. My feet felt softer and the soles of my feet didn’t look as dry.

Applying this product was an easy and inexpensive way to solve my foot problem, and I was able to pamper myself after a long day at work.

Dr. Scholl’s Pedicure Essentials Deodorizing and Moisturizing Foot Cream
After you exfoliate any part of your body, it is a good idea to moisturize your skin right after. I knew that once I found the perfect foot scrub, I would have to find a product to lock in moisture.

On that same lunchtime visit to the drug store, I picked up a tube of foot cream that I had hoped would bring my ashy feet to life. I chose Dr. Scholl’s Deodorizing and Moisturizing Foot Cream because it promised to not only rid me of my rough, dry looking feet, it promised to keep my feet smelling nice (something that I need on those hot, humid days!).

I slathered on a generous amount of the thick cream after I exfoliated my feet. This cream scored major points with me because of its smooth consistency and the fact that it had little to no fragrance. It controls foot odor rather than masking it with a flowery scent.

I was extremely satisfied with my purchase because I was able to see the results almost immediately. It is so thick and creamy that it instantly gave my feet a silky-smooth feeling and appearance. This too passed the one-week test. In just a few days my feet became sexy and ready for some slinky summer sandals.

For the grrls that want to get ready for strappy shoes and 4” high platform weather, I recommend using both the Totally Nutty Shea Nut Foot Scrub and Dr. Scholl's Deodorizing and Moisturizing Foot Cream. Be ready to step out in style! ¤ Michelle
