To The Test:
Lush lips, hands, and body...

Lush should really look into changing its name to "Yummy." Why is it that all of the Lush products that I have tried so far smell so temptingly delicious? I wish I knew. However, I do know that I was more that happy to try a few of their latest items. See what's new at Lush…

Honey Trap Lip Balm
In the world of international espionage, a "honey trap" was a beautiful woman sent to seduce a spy and tease his state secrets from him using every means at her disposal. James Bond seems to encounter at least one in almost every film. In the Lush world, Honey Trap is a gorgeously tasty, white chocolate balm, sent to tease your lips into a soft, sensual state, capable of seducing anyone they touch. Our Honey Trap hides secrets like nutritious wheat germ oil and soothing oat milk infusion behind its honey and wild orange flavour.

Okay, I promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I own at least 20 different lip balms. I have a few in my make-up case and one in each of my purses. Yes, a girl needs to be prepared for anything and anyone!

As soon as I opened the Honey Trap lip balm tin, I was hit with a scrumptious aroma. I couldn't identify the scent, so I turned it over and read the ingredients. It contains honey, almond oil, beeswax and white chocolate. Yes, white chocolate! How could I not love this?

At first glance it looks like a glob of boring wax, but the buttery smooth texture proves that this balm is anything but dull. It is so rich and full of moisture. It gave me sexy, flirtatious lips in a matter of seconds. Thanks, Lush!

Smitten Hand Cream
Last year, Mark, our top bod at Lush (he has no official title but we all know who's boss) asked the Lush forum for a list of beautiful words. "Smitten" was one of them. The forum members asked Mark for a lighter, daytime hand cream scented with the same deliciously mouth-watering fragrance as Snowcake soap. Fair's fair. Now we have a beautiful new hand cream with a beautiful name made with natural oils and butters for a longer-term benefit for your mitts. (Note to non-mother tongue English speakers: mittens are like gloves but with one big 'finger' instead of the usual four so 'Smitten' is a hand protector pun as well as a lovely name. Just so you know.)

One thing that I know for sure is that Lush makes the most amazing hand and body cream. They usually have two things in common: 1. they contain tons of moisture rich ingredients, and 2. they usually smell incredible. Smitten does not stray away from this winning formula.

This hand cream was a hit with me because it not only had a sweet smell (it contains almond oil, coconut butter, flaxseed oil, and other natural oils), it gave my hands a healthy glow.

This hand cream is a must for those that have ultra-dry hands (like me!). I guess you can say that I have become smitten with Smitten (yes, I really wanted to say that!!).

Sonic Death Monkey Shower Gel
This shower gel makes your hair and body feel soft; it's scented with chocolate orange and tones you up with fresh lime, Caribbean coffee and herbal tea.

It wasn't just the name of this shower gel that intrigued me; it was the long list of ingredients that piqued my curiosity. What would a mixture of herbal tea from the Caribbean, herbal coffee from Jamaica, tangerine oil, hemp oil and cocoa produce? The answer: A chocolaty, citrus-y smelling shower gel that made my skin happy.

The scent reminded me of a decadent chocolate truffle that contained a hint of orange liqueur. Yes, this shower gel is way too opulent for words!

But hey, don't be freaked out by the appearance of the gel. I know that it looks like gooey chocolate syrup, but it lathers up nicely and it won't leave your body feeling sticky.

For the chocoholics out there, think about it this way, you can have all the chocolate that you want without the calories! See, Lush is always thinking! ¤ Michelle
