Clutch purses make perfect…

To get ready for the hot steamy summer nights ahead, I was on a quest to find the most amazing evening bag to dangle from my fingers. Nothing too big, nothing too small. I basically required a purse that could house my cell, some cash and my trusty lip gloss. Oh, and it had to look cute, too! As straightforward as this may sound, I was having a huge problem tracking down my “must-have” purse. Some purses that I glimpsed at were way too gaudy, they had too much bling, or they were just a little too chi chi for me.
And when I least expected it, it appeared.
A few weekends ago my cousin came over to me visit me. She was bored out of her mind sitting alone in her house and she needed some contact with the outside world. Unfortunately she caught me in a particularly slothful mood, as I was watching a marathon of “What Not To Wear” and I didn’t feel like doing anything. I could tell that my cousin was getting a little bored watching me watch TV, so she asked me if I wanted to do something. I told her that I needed to do some shopping, but I didn’t really want to go because I was too lazy to leave my house (that and I wasn’t sure if I could stomach being in the mall on a Saturday afternoon!). She persuaded me to get off my lazy butt and hit a few outlet shops and see what they had to offer. I agreed and peeled myself off the couch.
I wasn’t actually looking for a purse on this trip; I was more interested in buying some spring fashions to update my winter-like wardrobe. But when I hit the Aldo outlet store and I saw the incredible prices, I knew why my cousin made me leave my house.
This place is like an amusement park for fashionistas. There are wall-to-wall bargains on footwear and accessories.
I first checked out the jewelry section, as it was the first area that I walked into. The prices were reasonable, but I wanted to do some more browsing. I came to a section that displayed discounted purses. I caught sight of a gold purse that was buried under a million elaborately adorned purses. I reached into the gigantic pile and fished it out.
It is a gold tone clutch style purse with a short sequined strap for the wrist. It is tiny, but it has sufficient space for my essentials. I liked that the gold colour was very glitzy, but not tacky!
I looked at the price tag – only $4.95!! It was originally $19.99 but was reduced to a mere five bucks. I scooped it up and ran crazily to the cash area.
This is definitely one of my fave deals of the month. Not only is it the biggest bargain, this bag was exactly what I was looking for. It‘s cute and it isn’t too over the top! ¤ Michelle
