Although I have a "make love, not war" philosophy, I found the military look to be very chic. (Even our style guru Phan wrote about it in this issue's What's Hot section.)
While flipping through a few fashion mags and noticing these cute little jackets displayed in several stores, I too, had to succumb to the trend.
On a mission, I headed to my favourite vintage store and tried to seek out this season's must-have.
I was in the store for less than ten minutes before I noticed a military jacket buried among a sea of merchandise. I pulled it out and tried it on. Yes, it fit!
While walking to the cash area, I spotted a beautiful brown and beige scarf that would complement my jacket nicely.
The total cost of my purchases: just under twelve bucks. The military jacket was $7.99; the scarf - $1.99.
You don't need to spend a million bucks to be trendy. Check out your local vintage store and take advantage of the endless possibilities.
