Deal of the Month:
Goldeneye…
Even though I shamelessly neglected this column for the longest time, I was able to find some amazing bargains over the past few months. I bought a pair of knee-high black leather boots for $100.00 and I bought a very Victorian lacey top for $20.00. I know that I can wear these two hot numbers for years to come.
Although I was impressed with those purchases, it was the purchase of a five-strand (faux) gold necklace that I got me all excited.
After scarfing down a very large Sunday brunch with a friend, we decided to head to the closest mall to work off some of the calories that we had just consumed. Unfortunately the mall was about to close in half an hour, so my friend and I took a quick jaunt into Dynamite. I was way too bloated to try on any clothes, so I retreated to the accessories section. Being the frugal grrl that I am, I zeroed in on the sale rack. There were plenty of ornate pieces to choose from, but my eyes were hypnotized by a five-strand gold beaded necklace.
To be honest, it’s not something that I would normally wear, but I knew that it would add a certain element of femininity to any outfit.
I quickly snatched it up because the price was unbelievable. It was $8.00 marked down from $15.00. When I went to pay for it, the salesperson said that I owed $4.56. It was only $4.00 (plus tax)! I greedily went back for another one but there were no more. Oh well, I got mine!
See, when you least expect it, you can find amazing deals. I wasn’t shopping for anything in particular, but I scored a beautiful necklace that cost less than the price of a bagel and small coffee.
