Places to get a patty...
Ralph's (6680 Finch Avenue West)I've travelled far and wide for the ultimate patty. Okay, not really, but when I have a hankering for that Jamaican treat, I know exactly where to go. Where, you ask? Ralph's, of course!
Ralph's is a West Indian bakery located at 6680 Finch Avenue West in Rexdale, and they serve up the tastiest patties this side of Kingston, Jamaica.
The patties are fresh; not too flaky, and they have enough spice packed in them that it will leave you heading for that Red Stripe Beer.
The shop is unassuming, so much so that you might just drive right past it. But keep a look out for the yellow sign with red letters. I sound a little obsessed, no?
I'm not the only one hooked on this treat. When I took a trip to Los Angeles to visit my then-boyfriend, he made me promise to bring him at least half a dozen of Ralph's infamous patties. Yes, I brought them and we consumed them within seconds.
