Happygrrls' How-To:
Buy a swimsuit...

DO'S AND DON'TS
It's that time again…to drag yourself to the fitting rooms to see what you look like with barely anything on. Don't worry, finding a flattering swimsuit is not all that difficult. As a former Sales Associate for Bikini Village, I know that anyone can look good in a swimsuit no matter what their size. There are one-piece and two-piece swimsuits available to accommodate every body type and purpose.

Here are some rules of thumb:

  1. Go up one size for swimsuits (they're usually made small)
  2. Try on as many as possible (you can compare what looks best)
  3. Ask a Sales Associate for help (they know what looks good on different body types and they can make the experience less overwhelming)

You don't have to shy away from buying a two-piece swimsuit even if you don't look like the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models. It all depends on the cut and style of the two-piece. Go ahead, have some fun, try on some bikinis and tankinis. ¤ Phan

Here are some recommendations for:

Triangle bikinis, bandeau tops, and padded or aqua-filled cups will do the trick.

C to DD cups with underwire give support.

High cut bottoms or suits will elongate your legs.

Suits made long are available or tankinis and bikinis will eliminate that problem.

Sheer wraps will camouflage your hips but won't hide your sexy curves.
