Dear Angry Black Grrl:
Wandering eyes, parental consent, bad business ethics…

GOT A QUESTION?
ADVICE OF THE MONTH
Dear Angry Black Grrl,
My boyfriend and I have been dating for six months. Everything's been great, but lately I feel that he may be losing interest in me sexually. There doesn't seem to be any passion, and on several occasions he doesn't even try to touch me. I'm afraid to broach the subject with him because of the answer, and yet I feel so unattractive. Should I talk to him or could this be a phase he's going through?
Sexually Unsatisfying

Girl, don't even think that it's you. He found you attractive six months ago, so I'm sure he knows that you're still damn sexy. Maybe your man has something on his mind? The best thing to do is to talk to him and ask him what's up. I'm sure that you'll find out that there's something up with him, and NOT you.

Dear Angry Black Grrl,
I think my boyfriend may have the wandering eye. How do I know for sure?
Cheated

Does your man sneak a peek at other women, or do you think that he's really creepin'? If he only takes a quick look at women, that's okay. Men unfortunately cannot help but glance at females. If he's staring them down all the time, and in front of you, then you have permission to beat his ass and dump him.

Dear Angry Black Grrl,
My parents want me to go into medicine, but I want to pursue acting. I've tried to talk to them before, but they have their heart set on me going. Plus, if I decide to go into theatre, they're not going to support me financially. What should I do?
Schooled

Yo Schooled, you better look for a job ASAP. If your parents are not willing to give you the cash to follow your dreams, you need to do it on your own. The last thing you want in life is to have regrets. If you want to get into theatre, than go for it. Your parents will eventually come around.

Dear Angry Black Grrl,
My co-worker and I are both up for a promotion, and our boss recently asked us to prepare a business proposal for a large account. During lunch one day, I told him some of my ideas. Next thing I know, he's totally ripped them off! To make matters worse, he submitted his proposal a week before the deadline. Should I say something to management about this? How can I prove that these were my ideas?
N. T.

Now what would possess you to tell someone all of your ideas? Don't you know that people will do just about anything to get ahead? Consider this a lesson that you had to learn the hard way. When it comes to getting ahead, your own mama might stab you in the back. Be careful, don't divulge anything, and always remember to do a good job. And no, going to management with this would not be a good idea, as it would be your word against his.

Dear Angry Black Grrl,
I told my friend that I would attend a wedding with him as his date, even though I've never met the bride or groom before. Since I agreed to go with him, does that mean I should split the wedding gift with him?
G. W.

That depends on two things: Are your pockets so phat that you don't mind spending a little dough on some people that you will probably never see again? Or, are you a "thrifty chick" who ain't about to spend money on no one except herself? Honestly, if it were up to me, I would at least offer to chip in. If he said that it was okay, I would not press the issue. Think about it, he just asked to you to be his date, he ain't expecting you to pay for the wedding. ¤ Michelle
