Happygrrls' Sexy Style:
Christine...
I don't really define myself as sexy person per se, but there have been times when I've felt sexy. It wasn't so much the clothes I was wearing, but the way I was feeling about myself. You know: confident, gregarious, and ready to take on the world. And of course, there are times when I don't even want to get out of bed. Those days that I do get out of bed, I usually throw on anything that's clean. Open my closet, and you won't find any miniskirts or halter-tops. Skin is sexy, yes, but leaving things to the imagination is even more fun.
I prefer jeans and a t-shirt to dresses. Comfortable is way sexier than trying to manoeuvre in high heels. When I feel adventurous, I opt for long skirts or tank tops. V-necked anything is my staple, and I usually couple that with jeans or simple black pants. I also love button-up shirts because of their versatility. Button it all the way when you have an important meeting or function to go to, or leave some buttons undone if you're going out for drinks with your cute neighbour. Boot-cut or flares are a must for me, as are boots (usually with a couple of inches on the heels for added height). These are the classics that never go out of style, and the elevated heels and form-fitting pants can make you feel confident and feminine, sensual yet sensible.
When I dress to impress, I usually opt for my favourite pair of pants and a nice shirt. Yes, I am a boring dresser, but it's my style and it makes me feel sexy. Of course, wearing nothing at all is the sexiest thing you can put on.
I'm not really into clothes, so the last thing I pay attention to is what guys are wearing. I generally have a rule of thumb: see how well the cuff of the pants he's wearing hangs over his shoes. A pet peeve of mine is seeing the cuff all scrunched up, a little bit of white from his socks peeking out, and very dirty shoes. I also detest men who believe that wearing socks with sandals is fine. It's not, and it looks hideous. Sandals are meant to be worn alone, that's why they're sandals.
Anyway, I positively melt for guys in suits. It's my Achilles' heel, and it has lead me to many a wrong decision in the past. I don't work in a corporate environment, so I don't have many chances to see men in suits. That's probably a good thing, because I'd get fired so fast for drooling my working hours away. I don't know if it's because they clean up so well or because they subconsciously remind me of strippers, but guys in suits get me every time. A casual style is definitely fine by me, but put a suit in front of me and see how fast I can rip that off (with my teeth). ¤ C.Ho.
